Before this party, students of SUPINFO had a clear division of work, and they threw themselves into preparation of party. Ms. MENET and Chinese students dealt with preparing food, and French students dealt with organization stuffs.
Bamboo steamer, pan, rice cooker, all kinds of tools never stopped working. Chinese students showed their excellent cooking skills to French classmates, and made many delicious traditional dishes, such as Fried dumplings, shrimp dumplings, Shao-mai, Yangzhou Fried rice, chicken, scrambled eggs and tomatoes, etc. Knife were cutting, the sound of frying and cooking never stopped, Stir-frying showed the capacity of cooker, as if we could smell the flavor of new year in the air.
In the meanwhile, our French students were decorating classroom, preparing band, welcoming other classmates… A dozen desks in classroom showed that how popular the party was. The student band was professional enough, the students who was in charge of greeting was recording carefully, everything was in order.
Before the party, organizers made a short speech in front of the stage, and wished all SUPINFO students, colleagues and their families a happy Chinese New Year.
At the beginning of the party, students couldn’t resist those delicious food, they took their plates immediately and stood a long line in front of the desk which placing the dishes. They got one piece of whatever they didn’t know. Fried dumplings, shrimp dumplings, Shao-mai, the chicken became the most popular one, but one dish with red chili was rarely asked for.
Then everybody sat down and chatted with others. While music was on, everyone focused on the stage.
Our French classmates sang several songs, the beautiful singing made everyone immersed in it.
After the meal, everyone went to another room, and the most expecting part would begin— Game!
As a classic game, chair grabbing which needed luck and reaction could active atmosphere.
Treading balloon turned into a dancing carnival.

When the atmosphere of party was strong, organizers prepared some small gifts for students, including lucky cat, pig piggy bank, lollipops, and toys, which sent by lucky draw.
During this, Ms. MENET and Chinese students wrote the Chinese character “FU”, which meant that it would bring best wishes for everyone. And the Chinese character “FU” was posted and added more atmosphere of Chinese New Year in party.
At the end of party, students cleaned rooms and tidied up all stuffs, then the party ended.
For French students, it was a pleasure to celebrate Chinese New Year and experience Chinese traditional culture. For Chinese students who were far from hometown, it was also a pleasure to be around such lovely people to celebrate Chinese New Year.
